Speech Therapy

Diagnosis of language and speech disorders in patients with communication loss after stroke or brain disability, including abnormal voice or unclear speech. Services cover screening, diagnosis, and language and speech testing to assess the condition, followed by therapy, correction, and rehabilitation of language comprehension and speech production related to the organs of speech and hearing — for example: Aphasia (language impairment or loss of communication); Dysarthria (unclear speech from impaired neuromuscular control of the speech organs); or Apraxia of Speech (unclear speech from impaired brain control of the speech motor programme).
